Between males and females, the former seem to be more at risk of severe acne than the latter, as the hormonal structure of males makes them get acne easier. Their hormones tend to activate acne on their back or chest more than other parts of their body. Moreover, it is considered more difficult to heal than acne on the face and other parts of the body.
